Konnex Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use konnexlabs.com and Ask Konnex (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Konnex Labs (ABN 76 617 521 508), New South Wales, Australia ("Konnex", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

Konnex provides evidence-backed intelligence on residential trades: what exists, where, and how it changes over time (Suburb × Trade × Time). The Service currently includes:

• public website pages, including the NSW Plumbers profile, which shows aggregate figures (counts of businesses, licences, website trust signals and search-demand estimates); and
• Ask Konnex, a question-and-answer tool on our website.

Our former products are no longer offered and are not covered by these terms. The Service is currently free.

3. Evidence classes, dates and estimates

Each figure we publish carries an evidence class and a date. The evidence class tells you how the figure was established. The date tells you when it applies. Some figures, such as search-demand estimates, are estimates drawn from third-party data. A figure is only as good as its evidence class and date, and may change as we collect new evidence. Please read each figure together with its label and our methodology (see /au/plumbers/nsw#method).

4. Not advice

The Service gives general information only. It is not financial, legal, investment or other professional advice. Consider whether the information suits your purposes and get professional advice before you rely on it for a decision.

5. Ask Konnex

• Ask Konnex is new. It may change, be limited, be unavailable or be withdrawn at any time. We may limit how many questions can be asked.
• Answers are generated with the help of an AI model. They can be incomplete or wrong. Check any answer against its stated evidence before you rely on it.
• Do not enter personal information or confidential information in questions. Our Privacy Policy explains how questions are handled.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the Service in breach of any law, including privacy and anti-spam laws;
• try to identify, contact or profile individuals using the Service;
• scrape, crawl or systematically extract data from the Service, or use it to build a competing product or dataset, without our written permission;
• interfere with, overload or try to get around the security of the Service; or
• misrepresent our figures, including by removing or changing their evidence class or date.

We may suspend or end your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms.

7. Intellectual property

We own, or are licensed to use, the Service, its content, figures, design, software and branding. Some underlying data comes from third parties and is used under their terms or licences. You may view the Service and quote individual figures for your own purposes with attribution to Konnex, keeping the evidence class and date.

8. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to, or rely on, third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

Subject to that:

• we provide the Service "as is" and as available. Beyond the evidence class and date shown on each figure, we do not promise that the Service or its data is complete, current or error-free;
• we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service; and
• where our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

10. Changes

We may change these terms. We will post the updated terms on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the Service after a change, the updated terms apply to you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the courts of New South Wales.
